Advice re Win95/98 Clean Reinstall
No real problems with it, but think it is about time to upgrade to Windows XP. On the Dell Forum, I asked about this and it was recommended to do a "clean install" of Windows XP, rather than doing an upgrade. Is that really the best way to do this? Appreciate any comments on this. Thank you.

Clean install or upgrade?
This isn't Windows - you don't need to do clean installs as a matter of routine. Paul Paul, I cannot agree with this at all - especially based on what I have been seeing recently since the launch of Leopard. I feel the best way forward is for a totally clean install of Leopard - and not an upgrade.

In researching options to use the Ultimate upgrade I purchased (which comes with both the 32 and 64 bit DVD media) - there appears to be some issues with the 64 bit installation since upgrading from a 32 bit version to a 64 bit version does require a clean install. I have both the Premium OEM and Ultimate
